To Kill a Mockingbird is a story about dealing with the serious racial problems. It is famous for its humor and warmth. It was honored by the Pulitzer Prize and has become a classic of modern American literature. This story happened at the 60s of last century when the phenomenon of discrimination against the black people was very common. In fact, racial discrimination is not a new topic. It is the most serious human rights problem which has never been solved since the founding of the United States. Because the story was told by a child, which we called the children#8217;s perspective, the author can tell the story without any obvious personal opinions and leave some space to the reader to understand and think. Several characters who have been attacked without doing anything wrong in the book can be regarded as mockingbird which represents innocent people. In children#8217;s perspective, killing a bird likes killing an innocent people. The writer tried to arouse people''s conscience and reveal the social problem in a funny way. It is meaningful to analyse the technique of the writing and use it in my articles.

2. 研究内容和预期目标

This article researches mainly on why writer used children's perspective rather than adult'sand makes comparisons between them from different angles. The content includes introduction of children's perspective and the reasons for applications of such perspective in To Kill a Mockingbird.

The key to the paper is that social problems, such as racial discriminations and the loss of human nature at that time, can be exposed through the deep analysis. As a result, people can pay more attention to and appeal for equal rights, such as racial equality and equality between men and women.

Many international and domestic scholars have analyzed the angle of children in To Kill a Mockingbird. The research resources are abundant. In domestic research, there are more than 20 doctor#8217;s and master#8217;s theses, not to mention other magazines. Many experts have analyzed the causes of children''s perspective from different angles. Some think of family factors and the others think of social background. Take Yuan Yingzhe''s article--On the Narrative Strategy of Children''s Perspective in To Kill a Mockingbird for example, he said: #8220;For women writers like Harper Lee, who is thoughtful and emotional, early childhood experience has great significance for her literary creations.#8221; Mei Dongqi also believed the lack of mother's love and the influence of father in childhood are the major causes of children's perspective, which is shown in her article--The Use of Children's Perspectives in To Kill a Mockingbird.
