1. 研究目的与意义

Language is the vehicle of communication to express ideas in a featured shape. The formation of concept in human thinking needs language to wrap. With the development of the language, social life has an obvious and subtle change in every level. Women is part of the social life, in the history, their social status is constantly changed. It has a vivid performance in woman#8217;s speech. The capacity of woman decides the female#8217;s position and role in social production. Besides, the change of woman''''s language in largely reflects the whole change of the society. As the linguistics research category, woman#8217;s speech is bound to be reflected in the use of social language. What#8217;s more, it is also closely related to People''''s Daily life. So, woman''''s speech is not only the direct and systematic projection in social relationships, but also reflects the cultural, political, economic and other factors. We can make out all aspects of social relationships. At this level, this research has a great practical significance.

2. 研究内容和预期目标

This thesis is intended to give an analysis in evolution of woman#8217;s speech under sociolinguistics. I study orientation on the basis of previous female language researches in the 19th and 20th centuries. Mainly using the way of inductive analysis to conclude several changing types in collecting, sorting and analyzing a large number of literature documents. 3. 国内外研究现状

Men and women have differences between psychology and physiology. This specialty have been recognized by people. However, it started quite late for men and women in the study of language characteristics. Since1664 the gender language qualitative report began to appear(Jespersen, 1922). At the beginning of the 20th century, language and gender issues truly caught the scholar#8217;s attention. The Danish linguist Otto Jespersen is the main representative of this period. In 1922, he published the book Language: Its Nature, Development and Origin. Jespersen use the whole chapter expatiates the characteristic of the female Language. In the 1960s, Sociolinguistics as the edge of Linguistics and Sociology formed in the United States firstly. Scholars use some points and theory of Sociolinguistics to explore the characteristics of the female language; At the same time, Feminist movement promote the study of woman''''s speech. In the 70s, some famous linguists such as Lakoff (1975), Labov (1972; 1975), Trudgill (1974), ZimmemanWest (1975), and ThorneHenley (1975). The research of woman''''s speech developed one step further. They not only study language gender differences, but also explore its social root. After that, a lot of exposition of woman''''s speech came out. From 80s to the 90s, linguists are mostly focus on the form of man''''s and woman''''s language. Representatives are D.Bolinger, R.Brend, J.S DeStefano, J. Holmes and M. R. Key, etc. Mary Ritchie Key in her book Male/Female Language describe and analysis the forms of Language differences between men and women; the meaning of gender language and its evolution and the scope of woman#8217;s speech.
